Monday the 9th

i researched my dissertation question and have begun my dissertation and am making progress toward it finishing. i have also started to make progress on my work experience thanks to the delays and professional nature its only just beginning.

Tuesday the 10th

i am now finalizing my thoughts on my fmp project alongside updating my dissertation so it will be ready when its due. i am also researching for my fmp so i am more ready to come up with new concepts and ideas.

wednesday the 11th

i have finished the introduction to my dissertation and am beginning to write the textual and theoretical portions of the dissertation i just need to put more references into my work that will help prove my point .

friday the 13th

i began the closing statements on my proposal and am researching my dissertation. i am also making progress to its completion and am almost halfway done. i am starting textual analysis so i can make more specific references to media.

monday the 16th

i have completed my proposal and have came up with one solid ideas on what i want to do i want to make a photo-book inspired by the horror genre and the artist Francis bacon. i have explained my idea fully in the proposal i also researched and added more to my dissertation.

Tuesday the 17th

i have a better idea on how i want to execute my project and how to present my work i am also planning my pre-production when and what i’m going to do in what order. i have also planned my fmp more thoroughly and decided on what i want to take pictures of. i have also tested my Photoshop skills with a test photo on and made a photo concept.

Wednesday 18th

i found an actor who was willing to take part and have planned a photo shoot for the 20th of April but the corona virus has pushed it to this Friday in order to be safe. i have begun preparation for the photo shoot and have made plans to use the assets i have instead of those i would have had prepared.

Friday the 20th

i competed my first photo shoot and have made a concept photo so i know what assets i need to gather to make the wings and background to more accurately portray the message i want also the ascetic i want to have.

Monday the 23rd

i have finished 60% of the dissertation 50% of the risk assessment and have made edits to the concept photo. i have almost completed my textual analysis and have made progress on my theoretical analysis. i have also referenced my research throughout. i am going back to researching so i can finish my theoretical analysis. i am also making the final steps on my questionnaire.

I am happy with the standard of work I displayed during this project as I have effectively produced a piece of quality work using a variety of effects and techniques. I have made it clear that I am fully capable of producing videos using ADR, Foley and accurate colour correction. I have effectively followed the script, storyboard and other pre-production documents. The project has been at a high quality throughout we had even planned to make major improvements that have exemplified themselves in the script.  I also have a more than basic knowledge of how to operate and use a camera.

 We made a drama film I originally wanted a more science fiction drama but this is more effective as it is relatable. This is because the project was about depression a drama is more effective as the subject becomes more relatable and less allegorical and more directly linked to the events that might happen to them. This was due to the fact that we could do more with a drama that an allegorical piece of work. I would like to do an allegorical piece of work in the future but I will use the knowledge I have learned during this course. The film was a success overall as it has effectively used all the things I have learned and I have shown a large amount of compatibility in this group.

We have shown an ability to produce better content as a group because of each other. We have even shown an ability to withstand a moderate amount of criticism in order to develop each of our edits and improve the quality of our films. We have shared our independent talents and knowledge of editing and videography in order to improve each other’s standard of work because of this we are able to have more technically advanced or developed products and have them maintain this throughout each of our works while also being diverse and interesting. We have even surpassed shortcomings during this project while 2 of our members were behind on the work of previous projects and we were able to work around other peoples schedules and absences setting dates on which to do work together and apart so that we were able to meet certain personal deadlines.

I have shown an independent ability to produce assets using adobe software in order to give my project diversity and range. I was able to create text and graphics in premier pro. I was also able to edit audio in audition so that certain things were in-audible to make sure that it did not decrease the quality of work. I was also able to source unique and effective music to make my project more emotional and captivating. The only shortcoming, I have made the group susceptible to is planning as I have shown an aversion to some of the times set for extra work but I have made exceptions in order to improve the project. The final edit included most of what I have learned and I have used all my knowledge of adobe software to improve the film.

I have demonstrated a large knowledge about using audition, premier pro and after effects this is a skill that I have learned during this course. It is also refined to the point where I can produce a film with a high standard of work.  This is because I allow myself to try new assets, graphics and effects. This means I can produce effects in similar projects that can be more specialised and make more sense under context.  I have used my prior knowledge of projects to enhance the quality of this one for instance using audition to properly refine how loud my audio is. I ensured to use a variety of techniques in the project this required me to look at previous work and evaluate to good and the bad to make sure the things I have tried before work well under this circumstance. 

I have used my knowledge to be more efficient in this course allocating time to documents we need to do together and what we need to do separately. This time management skill is useful for preproduction as I can manage who could do what to effectively distribute an equal amount of work to each person as well as seeing whether we will finish in time. I can also apply this to myself when editing allocating time for colour grading and Foley etc. this makes it easy to make sure I don’t over edit and I have time to do all aspects of the film. I was able to manage all aspects making sure we were on a deadline and ensuring that the others had an idea of what time scale we were working on.

The asset I have used have been advanced through the knowledge I have gained during this course like colour correction or editing audio and replacing dialogue. The techniques I have used improve the quality of my work by making the audio and video nicer. The audio is now more easy to listen to and the video is more astatically diverse. I have made it easier to follow dialogue as well as removing irrelevant or repetitive lines. I was able to help during filming by making sure the others were safe and effective so they could properly finish the project. During preproduction I had to make sure we weren’t behind as the others needed to do older work so I had to do a larger share of work giving them time to finish faster and help more with production and editing.

My original plan was to have a more symbolic show of the topic but others made it clear that it would be hard to do so we compromised and developed a script. The new script exemplified our collective knowledge on the subject. We were able to covey an accurate and sensitive project based on the subject matter. This is a better development of the script as we were able to make an accurate and more personal product. This was a success overall as despite the areas we were lacking we compensated by adding techniques that made our project effective. I think the script that was produced was both more effective and extremely emotionally sensitive.

The film was supposed to portray the values that a depressed person might exhibit but, in the end, we made the character’s transformation more subtle. this made it something to think about who could be depressed making the film more effective to a larger target audience. The final product has a balance between all our ideas showing an equal amount of knowledge over depression and media techniques. This was only achievable as a group; this means that we used our research as a group to make film well versed in media techniques and the mannerisms of a depressed person. We wanted to make a film that was both aesthetically pleasing and psychologically accurate and we have achieved both to a satisfying extent.

The work was shared around the group in an equal amount due to some members having extra work. this meant we had to keep their time in mind and not get them to do anything that would delay them further. We used all of our time responsibly and tried to do our best to meet our deadlines. The harder part was getting things started because we were more orientated on finding actors and our own schedules. The project was not in danger of being late even with this as we arranged times to catch up and film. We could have made sure that we did not do overtime and have to use the planned date but in the end it created a better effect as there was better weather and it was not as busy meaning we could use certain locations.

We made sure that our ideas were sensitive to the topic but also effective in order to provide a more sensational video. Because we were able to use ADR we completely eliminated any wind so the quality of our project was easy to comprehend and effective. Our target audience was the general public but more specifically people our age we appealed to them with a more modern approach to our project. We also were able to use music that was more modern alongside a relatable story making our project seem similar but also making it more effective. This was the first time I had done complete adr; given this I feel it has been a huge success on this front and has shown my capability to learn new skills. This is due to the current knowledge of editing I have learned this has helped me greatly in improving developing skills.

In summary I was able to help and advance the work of others as well as making my work a suitable standard and an independent average of the previous pieces of work I have produced. We were able to effectively produce a quality piece of work while evaluating the productivity of ourselves. We were also open to other ideas and able to manipulate the script in order to make an inclusive range of ideas that show all our capacity for script writing even if we did not include the entirety of someone else’s ideas. I was able to do extensive research on our topic making me more knowledgeable about the topic and how to construct the story and make it more relatable to our target audience. I have shown both initiative and independence during this project this this because I wanted to make a large impact in this film so could be able to say I was proud of the project. I can’t say I made as big of an impact as I wanted but I feel I have succeeded in this task.

Personally, I think this project has been a major success even with all the windfalls and failures on our part. We have more than compensated for this with the skills and techniques we have used have more than compensated for this. All of our edits may be similar in quality, but each uses independent graphics style and we have all edited our films alone. This has made each edit our own and made in the personal style of each member. The film has been both a point lo learn and share knowledge in order to create more of equal level of skill between each member. This is so we cold have the same standard of work using techniques that we are all familiar with. The project has been such an improvement on the previous; this is due to both the freedom we were given and the subject we were covering it allowed us to put an aspect of our personality in to the script making it more relatable.

In the future I will drive harder to put my ideas in to effect; I have ideas about how the script could be developed and they fell through. this was something I thought was missing from the film. I wanted more dialogue and if we couldn’t source actors, I wanted to write more to the strengths of the crew rather than keeping the script meant for a more talented individual. I also believe in a more allegorical script as to bring meaning and depth as to widen the target audience. I want to make a film that has more depth as the graphics and audio can’t be developed alone, as the product appeals less to the audience. I believe that we have very few if any mistakes and that shows a major amount of effort on our part it also demonstrates the effort each of us have gone to. This project has taken a large amount of time and ability that I think has made itself apparent in the final edit. Overall I hope the efforts and skill of the group wont be underestimated the lengths we went through were not under our own usual means.

I believe these are all far and understandable reviews each have similar views on our work. Most display that we have lost marks at some point of the film or project. I feel like I should be proud of the grade I have given myself and it is far given the work that I have done. My assessment is far and it also reflects the criticism others have given me. Due to this I have given myself a merit I have made a large amount of progress since the start of the year and this grade has shown how far I have come but also how far I have to go. In the future I will start out with the intentions of getting a distinctions allowing myself to put the needed amount of effort so I won’t disappoint myself.  This has been a learning point as I could have achieved a higher grade if I had put myself forward and dedicated myself to producing the best possible product; by expecting the events that made this project fall short. I will also keep this in mind when others are working because we treated preproduction normally when we could have strived for the extra marks and hopefully get a higher grade.  After reviewing my work, I believe although this was a success, I think I still have to learn from it; making sure I treat each part of the project with the amount of effort it takes to make a distinction worthy film. There were certain points that weren’t properly planned so I would like to make sure all members of the group understand fully what is happening and what that means they need to do. In summary I believe the failures were due to a lack of effort on the pretences that we would not be close to having the capacity to get a distinction.

What the differences depression can cause in social situations as well as their effect on different people. The effect depression has on a social life and how other people can mistake their suffering with something to stigmatize. The effects of depression change a person’s mannerisms and their ability to make friends or deal with intricate social situations. We will have to convey it from a socially acceptable and high quality this is not to offend the people in question as to say it is not their fault but also not the other party’s fault. We will have to use a range of filming techniques like framing and colour correction to amplify the effect on the watcher we can also help the guess what the person is feeling. We may use contrapuntal sound to offset some scenes but for the most part we will try to covey our message subliminally. The visual style is going to be more grimy and brutal so I want a dark more connotative background to exemplify the mood around the certain character perspective which will change to reflect how others have made them feel.

I want to use several visual styles and camera techniques like, colour correction, symbolism, Mise en scene, and others to make my work more effective. I will use colour correction to make characters’ feelings known to the audience, and empathise with the character. This is to make the character seem less like the stigmatized disorder and more like a victim making depression seem like a separate being on the side of the general public antagonising the viewer. I want to make them seem like they are doing a bad thing when stigmatizing someone even unknowingly. I also want to use Mise en scene with symbolism to add on to the depth of the story. Using Mise en scene I will add element and references like black dogs and eyes to have the audience make connections between different media and pop culture. I want my film to make the viewer think about their actions whether they place themselves as an antagonist or a victim because I will have no protagonist but it will change perspective on how we act. I would like to achieve a point where the visual style is clear and the effect of one’s action reflects upon themselves far less that it does an another. how you feel may change because of another’s actions, I would like to show those actions in a more theoretical sense to what rejection and denial can make a person feel.     

In the short film ED, it uses lighting techniques and white balance to create a sense of what is past and what is present. The film uses colour to indicate whether it is a happy memory or his life currently this makes it easy to track The story as it is non-linear. It also changes how the character looks this makes an effect that he has changed. I would like to use this effect but not harshly or for the entire duration of the film. There are good film techniques in this film that I would like to use but it also has parallels to my story. There is no actual speech exemplifying what I am going to do in my story. I will have speech but none that will explicitly state his depression like ED I will use visual messages to make my point. The filming techniques and uses of Mise en scene is used effectively and I would also like to use it to this extent having objects around the scene that may connotate or add to the story. The iconology is something I also want to show. Often the face is not enough you need a visual example of emotional pain. I want to show the symbolism with the realism the perspective will show not just what that person sees but what they feel.     

“Women have a higher depression rate but men have a higher suicide rate”

The gender of the person will affect the story so it is accurate. The gender difference in suicides is around double but the difference in gender on having depression is more a third more in females. The signs of depression are more present in females which make it easier for people to see and psychiatrists to diagnose. The gender of the person with depression can make it harder to detect the symptoms and make it harder to detect. We can apply this to the audience while we use things women can relate to, we can also show the aspects men might relate to more. The statistics show it would be easier for a woman to relate to the feeling of depression whereas men don’t show their emotions and relate to a more desensitised show of what they are going through. The inverse is also true if we want to make an impact on the audience the examples should be the opposite of what they relate to, but the film should be more of a sad theme getting the person to relate to the character and use that to make their feelings more effective.  This this is not always true for each gender but generally the same amount of people are emotional to emotionally closed off. My target audience also has a fifty fifty split so generally the two personality types will be evened out with the equality of the two genders (that have been answered in my questionnaire).   

“9/10 of people who have had mental disorders suffer sigma”

This means our character will probably will have a stigma so to most people won’t talk to them or talk about them. The signs of depression can be confused with antisocial behaviour and other signs may seem like rudeness. This almost guarantees a stigma worsening the depression and as such the symptoms. The people surrounding the affected person are not only the cure for the illness but also the cause. The people surrounding a mentally vulnerable person have the power to cure but often they don’t know better so they antagonise them. This might make an appeal to a more disgruntled or emotionally vulnerable crowd who might want to relate to something. The stigma surrounding a lot of disorders and illnesses is not there because it is deserved and as such so those effected so it will be easier for them to relate to certain situations. A stigma could be represented in an abstract sequence as a stigmata 2 pieces of wood put into the hands as a symbol of how they feel. The iconology behind a stigma is never shown I want to show how it feels emotionally and physically. The symbolism behind it because no one sees how much it hurts the pain of having it. They are too busy not wanting one, that they don’t see the pain is worse because that the person can’t be a part of the thing they are stigmatized against. I want to portray the stigma using symbolism Mise en scene or other tactics to show the characters restrictions.

“Men show fewer symptoms and seek treatment less often”

We can’t use someone who will show a lot of signs and we can’t put certain elements into the story it could be a reveal near the end. The idea of the signs of depression isn’t the same for everyone so I would like the viewer to watch it over and try to identify the signs, rather than then seeing it is clear and obvious when it is not. The identifiers for depression are not clear and I will have to try my best to exemplify the qualities of one person with depression. We have to exemplify the qualities of someone with depression like, lethargy, anger, recklessness, weight fluctuations these are hard to exemplify because not all symptoms present themselves as well as them being presented outwardly. This we will have to directly convey showing most people don’t want you to see they need help, and it is due to several reasons but first and foremost is the stigma, and the effect on their current life sometimes rapidly diminishing its quality.

The differences in the specific ranges of depression will affect the script drastically so we need to know what who and why we are casting specific people. We will have to use the research we have gained to properly and effectively. The research we have done implies that depression is very hard to identify. This is because of the person in question has been socially chastised because of the symptoms, but because of this their behaviour is explainable so society has made the symptoms harder to detect, removing obligation and opportunity’s to go out. Which makes lethargy seem normal. I need to use caution in order not to miscommunicate my message. I will need to use Mise en scene to show more hypothetical staples of depression. I want to use symbolism to exemplify victimisation and ridicule in a sympathetic way.

Monday 29th of April

Today i started the project proposal and successfully started planning the script and narrative of our final magor project. I have had the idea to have a more depressing drama rather than anything light hearted or comedic project

Wednesday 1st may

I finished the mood board, mind map and the project proposal so we can move on to developing the story i will need to keep in mind that i don’t have the only idea any some others may be more piratical cinematic ore thought through.

Thursday 2nd may

We have started pre-production and it is my job to do the risk assessment i will need the location recce to do my job properly and effectively assess the dangers in the area. i will have to identify several risks and attempt to resolve them as soon as possible.

Friday 3rd may

I have finished the risk assessment to a satisfactory standard so i can start on another piece of work. the risk assessment contains a variety of dangers who is responsible for them and how they can acknowledge and fix thew along with the deadlines needed to completed by.

Monday 6th may

I have started to compile my work in to a in-design document in order for it to be easy to send and receive this will be stylised and changed to make it easy to read and efficient to store so that i can submit my work quickly and effectively

Wednesday 8th may

I am also starting the prop list and the costume list i am prioritise the costume list because it is more important and longer. it also requires a deeper amount o thoght as the exact outfits are not specified in the script or story board and i will have to make sure the actors can source the right clothes

thursday 9th may

I have finished the costume list and have almost finished the prop list this means we are nearing the end of preproduction and will have to make perpetrations for filming like booking equipment and casting actors.

Friday 10th may

I have finished the prop list and am taking this time to edit my pre-production folder using in-design to make it look nice the folder needs to be organised and personalised if i am to get a good grade

Monday 13th may

I have started the shot-list this means i will need the storyboard or the script to effectively keep the same consistency throughout pre-production.

Wednesday 15th may

I have finished the shot list maintaining the same amount of shots and scenes to the storyboard making it easier to comprehend and follow into production.

Thursday 16th may

I am using this time to make the after effects that i am going to use in the actual production i need to use prior knowledge to know what settings to have the composition

Friday 17th may

We filmed the first part to our fmp this means we went out and filmed the fist flashback and the initial opening credits. we did this productively by managing time and assessing locations as well as shots so they were focused and accurate

Monday 20th may

I began editing the project compiling the clips from Friday with the effects i have made and will use during production and will be in the final product. I also spell and grammar checked the production blogs so I could covey my points clearly and understandably.

Wednesday 22nd may

We have began filming the office scenes with Greg finalising the poster and compiling the video files to add the next part to the video sequence.

Thursday 23rd may

We started filming more of the scenes and re doing some that were a bit out of focus this is because we want a higher grade of product and use our time most efficiently. We will do this more efficiently than last time as we spent too long on breaks and time spent in-between actual shots

Friday 24th may

Today I am creating the assets in after effects and the footage we collected yesterday I am using premier pro and after effects in conjunction so I can edit the assets in after effects and it will change the premier pro document

Thursday 30th may

Today we filmed all the remaining visual scenes. we only need the Foley, music and the final dialogue the rest we will do in after effects. this was a success although because we got all videos filmed in time.

Monday 3rd June

I assembled the last of the visual files all I need to do is finish editing with the Foley, music and the after effects. I have began to finalise my work. I am on time to finish my work and have effectively used all my assets to my advantage.

Wednesday 5th June

I have finished with the Foley and music I only have to finish the final dialogue and all parts will be done. i have effectively found and used appropriate music. I have also updated the production blogs to have proper grammar.

Thursday 6th June

I have gotten close to finalising. I have finished the Foley and ADR and I would like to make some small edits to finish the film like small bits of colour correction and fixing the volume fore some of the music and effects.

Friday 7th June

I have finished the film all aspects meet my expectations and are up to a high standard. we have completed all aspects and are ready for the presentation on Monday this will be the final blog as production is now over.

the majority are from ten to twenty this shows a bias to a younger generation so the answers have to reflect their opinion but i am in the age range so this will not be a challenge as i can reflect their views

There is approximately the same amount of male to female so there is no bias, this means i have an even amount in the target audience. this means i have to make gender neutral decisions what both genders what and dont want to see

the film should reflect this as not only does this give a certain amount of leeway as it is approximate. this is best as the time allotted means i can effectively have a film but not have it run over

more people like comedy than anything else so we should take that into account. My original idea was to do more of a horror drama idea meaning that my story’s genre may not be as accepted as well as the comedy genre, however by merging there two genre i increase my chances of success.

YouTube is both the essayist and well liked platform i have a YouTube channel so it will be easy anyway

the mist liked are linear and single strand so that is also the most simple way of doing it

most people like a prophetic or open ending which don’t really affect the story too harshly and can be easy concepts so i fell like i would be able to execute this easily

most people agree that graphic scenes can be effective but need something to clue them in to whats going to happen

most people agree that short films should have a point this means it should have some deeper meaning that may not be apparent

the general setting seems to be urban this means i should use built up areas this should not be a challenge

the plot should be a rage of things it seems like they don’t mind the general theme just as long as it is engageing and developed

there seems to be a range of opinions so there is no niche of people so i should try to have a plot everyone can understand

experimental films seem to be more liked or more of an interesting concept rather than anything basic

more people like happy endings so i should end on more of a positive note instead of a sad one. this is good as they might be expecting a good end but i can deceive them at the end

people do seem to have a tendency to watch short films but more say they dont or dont usually so i need something noteworthy as it needs to be worth watching. this will set expectations people who watch more short films are better judges but people who watch less are wore judges this will pay to my favor if i do either bag or good.

Exode

the short film uses CGI and ADR effectively the film uses small details like rocks falling to enhance the ambiance as well as having a ambient and music track the movie focuses on a civilization built atom a massive beast this means everything is scaled larger. the genre is science fiction the movie repeats itself as the first beast dies the civilisation moves to a mountain this mountain then wakes up revealing itself to be a similar creature repeating the cycle the film has realistic mountain scapes and rocks it has a good use of mise en scene but it does not use actual speech this meant it used facial expression and non-verbal forms of communication.  This means it uses.

the film uses silence to alienate the environment using large terrain and a scene of what the past has happened like large skeletons and that there are not a whole lot of other terrain the movie uses textures like sand and wood to make the characters more camouflaged and blended in to the surroundings. the visual style brings a scene of what life is like they are semi organic their life exists because of the creature but they are only small creatures not a advanced civilization. there are large fully organic tick like beings that are aggressive to the people on the beast these are horrifying creatures that add realism since the creatures are additions to a seemingly baron environment they make sounds and visuals that offset the setting this adds a scene of fear as they are usually small semi-harmless creatures but when their proportion changes it makes a familiar fear to those who watch it.

the visual style is akin to a baron desert the textures from the sand on the horizon to the skin on most of the creatures the film this creates a scence of what is good and what is bad. the background is fraught with extreme rocky areas the caverns and hills are more alien than most of the earth this makes the environment ever changing landmarks and destinations that are mysterious and both natural and unnatural while the caverns have realistic features like where water would have eroded rock leaving marks there is no water in sight everything is made of rock so it adds a layer of history why is the rock eroded or what has happened? this creates an effect of immersion as well as a track to follow with the groves making paths it is clear where the characters are going. they use light effectively as it shines on the characters is the moment they gain hope and when the characters are attacked the light goes dark even though the overall lighting does not change

Blacksmith

starts off with a shard circling a man he goes off into ruins set to a sombre theme the movie follows a strange man who can manipulate metal he is able to survive any injury but can  break blades then forge them into masks for his collection the film uses facial expression and body movement to convey emotions. the scenery shows he is the only person in the ruins of the town such as only planks one holes in the ground which means only one person can cross at a time.

zero

the short film illustrates a socio economic point about pre-determined facts about life the movie uses adr and stop motion animation to portray a zero given no name whist being narrated by a un seen non diegetic voice the film uses sound that both line up perfectly and imperfectly to flesh out the surrounding area it also uses framing devices to show differences and consistencies in the world the actual characters can only show facial expression and actions this makes the story more engaging because rather than discussing situations it is always clear and the style of the world is an easy concept having ten numbers and five classes of people zero being at the bottom at the end the one rule that was clearly established about zeros is broken the new pair of zero create a child with the sign of infinity bringing meaning to zero showing he is not nothing but something with the ability to create and even do something larger than himself

the film makes a point about different classes and where you are from doesn’t say where you will end up but it does have a say in how people treat you even though looks don’t mean anything to to other people it can mean a lot during first impressions. this can also portray how some show sadness choosing to ignore it rather than expressing it is a way for people to taunt you more dehumanizing you making him seem like he is as good as the number on his chest. the number also portrays how they act more entitled people will lead others into situation the lower numbers will consider helping each other but a higher number forbids it the inverse is also true the lower the number the less lightly they are able to be in charge of even their own actions 1 though 5 will have the chose to act but rarely chose a heroic action but as seen a zero will be forced around tied up pushed and held never having a say when even a one is around. the position society faces in real life are the same as in the short the minority often have something to give to society but the majority forbids it. the film displays an irony of life those who are repressed are often more dedicated and skilled because they have more incentive to try but then society chains them in order for them to be equal in their eyes even thogh in reality they try harder because they want to be equal and have those chains.

ed is a short film about depression it shows a white bunny in blue lighting remembering his life while trying to kill himself it shows how depressed people act in their final moments or when they are alone as well as how it is not natural for them to be this way it demonstrate the lengths of exactly how mush someone can stand while both humanizing and dehumanizing a athropomophised rabbit. the short film has dark blue lights in the present whilst having warmer tones during the flashbacks it shows what the life is like for someone with depression as well as clear signs into the illness the film ever shows what it is like for a male this is a difficult topic as men don’t normally show emotion outwardly but rather show it internally the film uses somber music as a tone for the rest of the movie.

the betrayal of innocence though the anthropomorphised rabbit examples how crude intentions can even corrupt innocence. even the warmest and cutest can be forced in to ugly situations the cruel fate of suicide and the irony of rabbits innocence and purity being the cause of their corruption the features that made him cute the albinism white fur and piercing red eyes make him seem abhorrent when put under the different light. this lighting using cold tones to indicate his depression and eventual suicide shows the meaning in the colour blue the depth and pressure he is being put under because of his situation is so immense it effects how he looks

the short film focuses on a woman sonnies she has been abused in the past in the movie sonnies is capable of fighting these people by using a monster to fight other taking money from their friends as well as showing up these people. the film had a dark blue background and urban feels lit by neon lights and body tattoos. the film is fast paced and set to varying levers of cheers and whispers the uses ambient sound to its advantage building tension and making the moments more intense. the movies uses twists and unexpected moments to change the tone of the film often. the film uses lighting and sound to covey the emotions of characters in high adrenaline moments it uses red lighting and in more building moments it uses darkness

the light is bright and multi colored each character is gives a theme of sourts the combatant team has a red glow and a beast tattooed on his chest this is a clear signal he is bad it makes an atmosphere of cruelty bathed in a red glow the effects change the connotations of what is happening when he is winning it makes more of a warlord look but if he is losing the damage looks like his own. sonnie has a purple glow with neon blue snakes and scales mimicking her monster skaley bladed hair and a slender body which matches her monster she also has scratches on her face foreshadowing her actually being the monster her body is just a way for her to walk around in public this is also why she does not move during the fight she actually severs the connection and fight by herself. this twist is adorned by red lighting and a lot of detail on khanivores face this is the only true encounter with the beast using the red light again and sonnie gets revenge on someone who tried to kill her.

the detail put on khanivore is extensive to amplify the fear of looking a creature like that in the eye ant saying you tried to kill it this dramatic twist was just before another that sonnie had been betrayed by a human looking monster. the sence of failure proceeded by victory that she survived creates a rush of adrenaline that both antagonizes the enemy and justifies his death this keeps sonnie on the moral high ground.

This shows that a significant population never seeks help or treatment so we should reflect these values in our film by having the main character both being ignored by others and themselves neglecting their own symptoms in the hope to show others not to do the same

Table 1 demonstrates the well-established higher prevalence

of the criterial depressive symptoms among females

(22.4%) than among males (13.9 %).

This shows a higher amount of the female population have diagnosed depression with apparent symptoms the percentage shows a societal priority over the treatment and diagnosis of females over males so we shall show him in the minority and a lesser priority

The second wave of the study comprises

treated depressives only and may be less representative

than the first wave.

Implies that men are more receptive to treating depression

This means we will represent the untreated population showing an unwillingness and hidden focus on depression. the study shows

 Since treated samples are heavily biased by the fact

that females seek treatment more frequently, generalizable

results can only be derived from community studies.  

This further backs up my point as the anomaly may be due to lack of incentive to go to psychiatrists

Work to strengths so you can produce a film to the best of your potential ability. Do research so that you can be an authority figure on the subject and don’t make assumptions as to what is correct. Know your personal risks and take all variables in to account, so that the group will not be hurt. In the event someone has a problem, for example, diabetes. You have to make sure they have what they need in case of an emergency. Have the same visual style so that the audience can keep track of what they are looking at. For example if a scene is lit two different ways most people will assume that the scene is different. Keep narrative in mind so that you can properly keep track of time and story. Be ambitious so you have room for improvement. Keep Sound design in mind. Strip ideas down. Be proactive.

Take all precautions to ensure success like better equipment props and costumes

Plan days for filming so you have a clear schedule and there aren’t any days where someone does not show up

Consistent visual style so they dont change how it looks part way into the through and make the audience confused

The style will be dependent on other filmmakers so make sure it is different enough but not so different as to make the scene bad

Work collaboratively make sure everyone is on the same page and is happy with the end result

Identify a variety of methods to allow you to chose the best work and design your plot and story from there.
