Photographers like Ansel Adams use refection to make summitry depth of field  a deep depth of field. Everything is in frame a shallow depth shows a single object  wide aperture low F-stop to have everything in frame

Repetition

using several objects to make the photo ascetically pleasing

Symmetry

making things ascetically pleasing by making it look the same when cut in half

Shapes

also using shapes to make the focus look pleasing

Leading lines

Lines that point toward the focus of the photo

Candid or street Photography

Photography that is unexpected or unplanned usual urban this can lead to problems but is usually good

The law

Legally you cannot show private places or harass private public and it is not legal to become a public obstruction Be prepared to explain yourself respect personal privacy use common scence

be culturally confident

stand on public property

do not approach from behind

be polite calm confident

if you see a no say no worries and go

Concert photography

Its all about being creative with your environment

Use a low aperture allows for the most light to be let in

Fast shutter speed to capture the precise moment

Get the most possible light and fastest shot to be able to get a good photograph

Use a shutter speed of 1 over 200 or faster use a high ISO the higher the ISO the more noise you encounter but it is lighter 3600-6400 is ideal

Spot metering this takes a light reading this is useful to use when a artist is in a spotlight as the camera sets the contrast itself if you don’t want the artist in the centre of the frame if you set the camera to single shooting and focusing hold down the shutter button half way and move the camera to get the desired image this will only happen if the shutter button is half way if its all the way it will continue to focus on the centre image

Multiple shot/burst mode you will need to have a big sd card to do this but it is the most effective way to take pictures at a concert

No flash its not used at concerts as t is not effective

Always shoot in raw so the camera does not  process it as the camera wont change the white balance

Long exposure photography

Where alot of light comes in becausee the apeture is open a long time this creates a merged image where all frames of movement are put into one frame this could create blur

Light painting photography

Photography comes from the greek meaning drawing of light

Light painting can only happen that pitch black so try to limit noise

Direct sunlight photography

Using the light behind the subject the idea is to enhance the background but the extremities must be visible this is enhanced by changing the line of gravitation

Powder play

Somewhere between fast and slow shutter to enhance movement

Underwater photography

Means you will lack reds or green because of refection

Water bounces the light in different directions

Arial photography

Anything 90%from the floor and parallel to the horizon
